Rebuilding Together Greater Cuyahoga Valley Raises Money to Support Annual Rebuilding Day in April Service Area extended to Medina, Portage, Stark, and Wayne Counties AKRON, OH. -- Rebuilding Together Greater Cuyahoga Valley, an affiliate of Rebuilding Together, Inc. announces an opportunity for the Summit County community to support its annual Rebuilding Day on April 30, 2011.On Rebuilding Day, more than 450 volunteers converge on 17 homes across Summit county to assist low-income homeowners with home repairs that they cannot otherwise afford. In support of the work day, the organization is preparing its 2011 Bowl to Rebuild scheduled for March 5 and 12, 2011 at Stonehedge Entertainment Center in Akron. The goal for the Bowl to Rebuild event is to raise 000 for the Annual Rebuilding Day. "We understand that not everyone can pick up a hammer and help to rehabilitate homes," shared Executive Director Paul Holm. "Participating in the Bowl to Rebuild gives everyone a chance to help make a difference in the lives of the seventeen homeowners we hope to assist on that day." The event was created last year to help current volunteer groups raise money in support of their projects.
